The students involved in the marching band program, track and field as well, so the program has become truly inclusive and a special part of our community here at the school. Last year, we were thrilled to receive the State Championship One Act Play Award, and we’re thrilled to be part of it again in just a few weeks. On February 20, we will go to the State Championship again. We had the Region competition last week here at Ringgold High School. We were delighted to win the championship for the second time in Ringgold history, last year was the first time. We were also honored to have the best actor in the area, a senior here at Ringgold High School, and all the star actors, as well as the most outstanding crew led by Chloe Snyder, who is a junior.

Cody Ogle is the winner of the 2021 Best Actor Award for the region.

He says, “The growth and evolution that I have experienced in this program is astronomical and it makes me really happy to be able to participate in a program like this where everyone is excepted; and loved for who I am.

Eli Talley is the 2020 High School Actor of the Year in Georgia.

He says, “The main thing we strive to do is put on a show for others. You know how to make others happy.

Junior Iley Barnes adds, “Well, I feel like the arts are very underrated, but when you come to see our show you’re going to be in awe of what you can do during a pandemic.

Jané concludes: “I think they really gained in community and excellence. We talk to them all the time about living a life of integrity, of kindness. We’re talking about their hard work and musical excellence. So, hopefully when they’re done here at the end of their senior year, they pick up on those things in whatever business they do next. “
