Opera Vlaanderen from Belgium has announced its 2022-23 season. Here is an overview of the opera productions and recitals the season will offer.
Opera
by Kurt Weil “Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny” will be led by Alejo Pérez and Ivo Van Hove. Leonardo Capalbo, Tineke Van Ingelgem, Katharina Persicke, Maria Riccarda Wesseling, Bongani Justice Kubheka, James Kryshak, Thomas Oliemans, Frederick Ballentine and Marcel Brunner star.
Performance dates: September 9 — November 18, 2022
Mozart / Concert Airs will feature choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker with conductor Francesco Corti. It will star Emma Posman, Annelies Van Gramberen and Raphaële Green.

György Kurtág’d “Game over” will be directed by Johannes Kalitzke and will feature Frode Olsen, Morgan Moody and Leonardo Cortellazzi.

by Schumann “Faust” will star Rafael Fingerlos, Eleanor Lyons, Ilker Arcayürek, Lore Binon and Sam Carl. Philippe Herreweghe directs the staging of Julian Rosefeldt.

Vincenzo Costanzo, Irakli Kakhidze, Ernesto Petti, Marta Torbidoni, Ania Jeruc and Elisa Soster star in Verdi “Ernani” with Julia Jones and Alessandro Palumbo directing a production by Barbora Horáková Joly.

Jonathan Stockhammer conducts Philip Glass'”Satyagraha” with Stefan Cifolelli, Cathrin Lange, Maren Favela, Jorge Eleazar Álvarez and Justin Hopkins with.

at Purcell “The Indian Queen” will be directed by Emmanuelle Haïm and directed by Guy Cassiers.

Roy Cornelius Smith, Carla Filipcic Holm, Albert Dohmen, Mark Gough, Stephan Adriaens, Dshamilja Kaiser and Vincenzo Neri star n Wagner’s “Tristan and Isolda.” Alejo Pérez directs the production of Philippe Grandrieux.

Filip Rathé runs Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretius” under the direction of Carlos Wagner.

Kartal Karagedik, Eleanor Lyons, Maeve Höglund, Božidar Smiljanić and Anna Pennisi conduct Mozart “The Marriage of Figaro. Marie Jacquot directs the staging by Tom Goossens.

Soprano Tineke Van Ingelgem gives a recital of music by Kurt Weill and cabaret music.
