Thrasher Opera House will host JigJam on Saturday March 26 | Green Lake News


The historic Thrasher Opera House in downtown Green Lake will host award-winning Irish-influenced bluegrass band JigJam on Saturday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m.


JigJam are a multi-award winning quartet from the heart of the Midlands in Ireland. He mixes traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana in a new genre called “I-Grass” (Bluegrass influenced by Ireland).

“Their onstage energy and virtuoso musical ability have captivated audiences around the world, and now they will perform at the historic Thrasher Opera House,” the entertainment venue said in a press release.

All four members grew up immersed in traditional Irish music and culture, and the band collectively won over 20 All-Ireland titles.

All multi-instrumentalists, JigJam alternates banjos, guitars, violins, mandolins and double bass on stage.

This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
