Royal Academy of Dramatic Art partners with Curzon exhibition channel for screenings and events – The Hollywood Reporter


LONDON – British capital exhibition chain Curzon Cinemas is teaming up with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to collaborate on a program called The Screen @ RADA.

The goal is to unite Curzon’s cinema operating experience with RADA’s 108-year history and to bring live theater and opera broadcasts, Q&A with alumni from Famous RADA and new work film screenings by recent graduates in theaters.

RADA alumni Michael sheen said of The Screen @ RADA: “For students, integrating film work into their training seems essential. Having The Screen @ RADA will be of immense value to this end. Being able to view films as an educational resource as well as a way to showcase student work opens up many very exciting possibilities for the future.

The partnership kicks off with the fall season of The Screen and the program will feature exclusive Q&A film screenings with directors, producers, screenwriters, actors and technical theater professionals, including alumni. RADA students and recent graduates.

A list of attendees and events will be announced in August, the partners said.

Curzon Cinemas operates 12 screens at six London sites and registers 600,000 admissions.
