Musical theater classes launched for budding young stars

The Lancashire Dance Academy runs a free introductory musical theater lesson for budding young performers in East Lancashire.

The academy, based in Lower Darwen, is relaunching its brand new musical theater courses for a five-week term this summer.

Students will learn different areas of musical performance, including vocal, theater and dance training in preparation for their first school performance.

Classes will be led by the talented Miss Caitlin who has years of experience working behind the scenes with choreographers and on stage alongside performers.

The dance academy is a family business and aims to provide an “affordable, fun and positive” learning experience for its students, as well as providing opportunities to develop friendships, increase self-confidence, get in shape and perform in front of the public at shows.

The academy’s Mini Showteam and Streetdance team recently performed at the Blackburn Jubilee Celebration and continue to perform across the county.

Musical theater classes will take place every Wednesday in preparation for their show which will air across the North West in the coming months.
