Emmerdale’s Paige Sandhu Addresses Fan Theory About Meena’s ‘Return’

Talk to OKAY! Magazine at the 2022 British Soap Awards, Paige Sandhu, who won Best Lead Performer for her portrayal of Meena, addressed speculation of a potential comeback.

“Never say never!” she answered. “You know what, never say never. Anything goes Emmerdaleespecially for the 50th.

“It will be the biggest and best year yet. In the past, historically, Emmerdale got other prisoners out of jail so it could happen…but we’ll see.”

Sandhu, who started playing Meena in 2020, recently spoke to digital spy about her future career plans, sharing that she would like to continue playing villains.

“I really want to keep playing bad guys. I love bad guys. I think they’re so much fun to play,” she said.

“I just want to continue playing characters that are very different from me – where you can have a lot of fun, the roles are really empowering and fulfilling, and it doesn’t matter if they’re good or bad.”

Sandhu also praised the ITV soap opera for making him feel welcome during his time there.
